Several months ago I was feeling down and could not figure out what was
going on. One day I received 6 fuchsia roses in the mail with a card that said,
“no one loves you more than me.”
This was the start of a three month affair that changed my life. My husband
would send me flowers, but these were not from him.
When I decided to send myself those flowers I thought it would be “funny.”
That is how the affair started; it lead to dinners by myself, movie nights, long
walks along a body of water and just spending time with me.
At the end of the three months, I thanked myself for the best time of my life. I
ended the relationship and went back to the relationship with my husband and friends.
They would say I seemed different. All I could do was smile. I spent time with the one person that needed my love more than anyone. It made me
better, to love me first made it easier to love others. Loving yourself, dating yourself, making yourself different so that you can make a difference in the lives of other people, that is the true journey through loving you, yourself, and others.
